The project Open Door: Social Empowerment of Youth in Pluzine, which is financed by Italian Cooperation and implemented by Internation Organization for Migrations (IOM) in cooperation with Office for Youth, within the CDT’s program of strengthening of civil society. The main objective of the project is to provide opportunities for high school students to participate actively in the sociopolitical life of the community through two types of activities:
Practical – which consist of web-journalism training for students and workshops for organizing and administering a web-site that would serve as an information service to their peers, as well as for those citizens who would like to be informed about all important decisions of the municipal administration concerning youth and current events and happenings in town.
Creative – which aim to encourage students to express their opinion on social, cultural and political problems in their community in an imaginative way – specifically, through the theatrical performance.
In this way, students will be directly involved in the life of their community. They will also serve as a positive example for their peers and may encourage them to actively participate in improvement of the social life of youth in Pluzine.
