CDT is one of the founders of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations – ENEMO, which consists of 19 NGOs from 17 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. In 2009, CDT was elected a member of the General Secretariat of ENEMO.
CDT has participated in ENEMO observer missions in Albania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo and Ukraine, which provided an objective and impartial assessment of the electoral environment and gave recommendations for improved electoral processes in these countries.
Representatives of CDT participate on regular basis in observer missions of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe – OSCE/ODIHR. Within the observer missions of this organization CDT representatives observed elections in Azerbaijan, Albania, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, and Tajikistan.
As one of the most prominent organization in the field of election monitoring, CDT frequently consults and trains organizations of similar profile in the South East and Eastern Europe and Asia.
In addition to issues related to election monitoring, we transfer our experience from the Internship Program, which is of interest to many organizations in the region, and the Open Institutions program.
We have trained and consulted organizations from Albania, Iraq, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova and Russia.
